Ways to Change Hotmail Account Passwords

   Visit http://account.live.com/password/change in a web browser. Type "account.live.com/password/change" in the web browser address bar and hit enter ⏎ Return. If you are not logged in, type your Hotmail address and password and click Next .

   • If you are asked to generate a security code, click on Send Code and enter the code sent to your email address or phone number.

   Enter the current password in the frame above the window.

   Enter and confirm the new password.

   • If you would like to be asked to change your password regularly, select "Make me change my password every 72 days".

   Click Next . The password used to sign in to Hotmail has been changed.

   • You must apply a different method to recover lost or forgotten Hotmail passwords.
